Lago Mar resort was a nice place to stay - my son's enjoyed the pool and the basketball court 🏀. The beach was nice as well. The rooms were spacious (we had a suite) but the toilet room and bathroom were small overall. Walking distance to Las Olas Boulevard although we drove mostly as it was hot and just far enough away. The fitness center was also above average with good equipment choice (machines, free weights, treadmills, cable machine with pull up bar, dumbbells) and a run to the beach 🏖️ is doable but go early or late in the summer!

This resort is such a breath of fresh air! I just read a review by someone who posted just recently saying the resort was dirty which is not true. This is not a new hotel by any means- but it is not dirty. They also complained about birds and iguanas being around. Apparently they don’t realize they’re visiting South Florida where we have lots of birds and iguanas which most people- definitely kids think are the coolest! It is almost impossible to not have birds or iguanas at a South Florida resort and I’d never want to visit one who eliminated them. This is such a beautiful property that has kept an Old Florida vibe and so different from the modern resorts nowadays. The staff is so kind and helpful, the grounds are beautiful, well kept and the food was excellent. Housekeeping was wonderful as well. Hotel is kid friendly with lots of activities but relaxing for adults with one pool for adults only. The beach and pool areas never felt crowded at all. We will definitely choose this resort again.

The people that work there are the kindest and most helpful that you could ever meet. The view from the rooms is spectacular!!! Modoline and Ramon and the breakfast people at the buffet make you feel like family!!! The views from the rooms are spectacular!! One of my favorite things to do are the hammocks. To be on a hammock on the beach is an incredible feeling.😃
